Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Bradley Joseph Sitko ("we", "us"), the developer of Beyond. By downloading or using Beyond you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Beyond.
Who can use Beyond
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and supervise your use. You may add other people's travel information only if they have agreed or you are their parent or guardian.
What Beyond is, and isn't
Beyond organizes copies of boarding passes and travel documents you add. It is not an airline, travel agent, border authority or official source.
- Passes: Beyond shows the barcode exactly as it was issued, but whether a pass is accepted is up to the airline and security staff. Always carry what your airline requires.
- Times, gates and status can be missing, late or wrong, including details read by AI from a photo. Check them against your airline before you rely on them.
- Passports and entry rules: Beyond is not a passport or ID and doesn't replace one. Expiry reminders and entry-rule notes are general guidance; check requirements with official government sources before you travel.
- Bags: Beyond does not track AirTags or other devices itself.
You are responsible for checking in, getting to your flight on time and having valid travel documents.
Your content
The passes, documents and other information you add remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to process them for the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to add them.
Acceptable use
Don't use Beyond to create, alter or misuse boarding passes or identity documents; to add someone's information without permission; to break the law; to interfere with or overload our server; to access it other than through the app; or to copy, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows. We may suspend access to our server features for anyone who does.
Beyond Plus and purchases
- Beyond Plus is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Trip Pass that unlocks Plus for 30 days and does not renew. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- We may change features or prices. Price changes for existing subscriptions follow Apple's rules, including notice and, where required, your consent.
Third-party services
Beyond works with services we don't control, such as Apple Wallet, airline systems and flight data providers. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them. Airline names and logos belong to their owners.
Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop any part of Beyond, and features that rely on our server may be unavailable at times. Keep your own copies of anything important; information stored only in the app can be lost if your phone is lost or the app is deleted.
Disclaimer
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, BEYOND IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT BEYOND WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION IN IT IS ACCURATE OR ACCEPTED BY ANY AIRLINE OR AUTHORITY.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR MISSED FLIGHTS, DENIED BOARDING, DENIED ENTRY, TRAVEL COSTS, LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE BEYOND. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO BEYOND IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR BEYOND IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50.
Some places don't allow these limits. Where that's the case, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Indemnity
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from claims by others that result from your breach of these terms or your misuse of Beyond, such as adding someone's documents without permission.
Disputes
If you have a problem, email support@beyondtravel.app first; most issues can be solved quickly. If we can't resolve a dispute within 60 days, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and either of us may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, or in small claims court where you live. If you live in the EU, UK or another place whose consumer laws give you the right to use your local courts and laws, those rights are not affected.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Beyond at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access to our server features if you break these terms. The sections on your content, disclaimer, limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes survive.
Apple
These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. If you got Beyond from the App Store:
- Your license to use Beyond is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with these terms, these terms govern to the extent allowed.
- We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Beyond, its content, maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- If Beyond fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Beyond.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to Beyond, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, and claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Beyond. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a sale or transfer of the app. We'll post changes here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app; continuing to use Beyond after that means you accept them.
